US Navy, Retired, (M.A., M.S.) served in cyber warfare, information warfare and Cryptologic roles for intelligence agencies, Special Warfare teams andconventional combat groups for 20 years from 1989-2013.
He is currently completing his Doctorate in Theology and Apologetics while teaching at his Alma Mater, Colorado Springs Christian School as a Principal, and is CEO of A@T Consulting, Inc. He is the husband of Julie and the daddy of two. CDR Thompson has served on the board of Live My Potential since its founding in 2020
Steve is married to his wife Carolyn and is located in San Diego, CA. They have two grown sons, Nathanael and Josh. Steve spent his entire 36 year business career at IBM in various sales and marketing roles. While working at IBM in San Diego, Steve was a Client Relationship Manager for the manufacturing and pharmaceutical/biotech industries managing strategic accounts such as QUALCOMM, Callaway Golf, Watson Pharmaceuticals, Invitrogen (now Fischer Scientific), and Sanyo.
Since retiring in 2017, Steve has dedicated himself to public service and church ministry. He is a co-leader of the Faith Community Church Career Transitions Group and is also part of the Faith Community Church Men’s Ministry leadership team. He and his wife also mentor couples in the church on personal finance from a biblical perspective. In 2020, Steve joined the Board of Directors of Live My Potential as a founding board member.
Dr. Carl Krause has extensive experience in pastoring, teaching and counseling. In 2002 he joined the staff of Barnabas Ministries and for 10 years co-directed and provided counseling services and retreats for missionaries in conjunction with Barnabas Zentrum in Austria. Since 2012 he and his wife, JoLynn, have been providing counseling and debrief retreats in Grand Junction, Colorado for missionaries on home assignment as well as pastors and their spouses, and traveled to teach and work with missionary teams in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Carl holds a Master of Divinity and Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Denver Seminary. As a pastor for 25 years, he frequently worked with families in crisis. Because of his love for young pastors, he has also served as a mentor to seminary students. In addition, he served as adjunct professor at Colorado Christian University for 10 years where he taught in the degree completion program.
Together the Krauses developed a Bachelor of Pastoral Ministry and counseling program at Donetsk Christian University in Ukraine and have taught courses in Pastoral Ministry and Pastoral Care, Marriage and Family, and Biblical Counseling. For eight years they directed Renewing Hope Ministries, ministering to ministry couples and families. The Krauses have three grown children, eight grandchildren, and 5 great-grand-children! Carl joined the Living My Potential board in 2020 as a founding board member.
Jon has been a lifelong friend of Doug and Lisa and exhibits amazing gifts of servanthood, wisdom, and compassion. He is a gifted christian-thought leader and joined the Living My Potential board in 2020 as a founding board member.
He attended Palomar College, San Diego State University, Biola University, Humboldt State University and Talbot Theological Seminary. SDSU is where Jon earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees. He has taught and coached thousands of High School students throughout most of his adult years at La Habra High school, Escondido High school, and Orange Glen High School. He concluded his educational tenure as an instructor in Architectural design at Temecula Valley High School.
Jon has worked as a tradesman, professional baseball umpire, and can describe nearly any classic car in detail. He is passionate about people, serving others, craftsmanship in all he does, and - most importantly- loving God. He is married to his beautiful bride of 30 years, Lyn, and has two grown sons and a wonderful daughter-in-law.
